Responsibilities
- Analyze, test, validate, and iterate on mechanical systems.
- Create detailed designs in CAD and produce accurate drawings.
- Design, fabricate, test, and iterate on hardware prototypes.
- Develop robotic solutions to manipulate and control biology tools.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve design tradeoffs and conflicts.
- Engage in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
- Adapt to various responsibilities and tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Strong mechanical intuition and hardware debugging skills.
- Experience with mechanical engineering tools and production practices.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping technology.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to solve cross-disciplinary problems.
- Passion for part design, material selection, and manufacturing techniques.
- A flexible attitude toward responsibilities and scope.
