Responsibilities
- Redesign existing products for manufacturability and assist R&D in new designs before production.
- Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for issues/changes identified during production.
- Plan, design, and implement manufacturing and assembly processes for new product development.
- Collaborate with design engineers to identify critical-to-function features and ensure quality and reliability.
- Determine necessary parts, equipment, and tools to meet manufacturing goals.
- Design tooling and fixturing for production and quality control.
- Develop assembly work instructions and manufacturing traveler.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
- US Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulations.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and 3D CAD modeling.
- General knowledge of various fabrication/manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding).
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T - ASME Y14.5).
- Self-motivated with problem-solving skills and a focus on continual improvement.
