Electrical Engineer, Power Electronics

The Electrical Engineer for Power Electronics at Mainspring Energy will design and develop custom power electronics hardware for the Linear Generator, ensuring high efficiency and compliance with emissions standards.

• Design custom power electronics hardware for the Linear Generator.
• Validate and qualify power electronics designs.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware issues in various settings.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance manufacturability and testability of designs.
• Partner with reliability engineers to improve hardware reliability.
• Serve as an expert on owned hardware systems.
• Communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 2-5 years of experience in power electronics development.
• Strong electronics design fundamentals and circuit board design experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and circuit modeling tools.
• Knowledge of power electronics control theory.
• Experience with EE tools such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
