Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, and document innovative aircraft lighting products and systems.
- Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of projects using engineering principles and aviation standards.
- Document technical data in accordance with engineering policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement tools, methods, and processes to improve quality, reliability, and productivity.
- Solve complex problems using advanced techniques and modified extensions of theories.
- Identify and resolve defects, including field and production issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure product excellence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of mechanical design experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD systems such as ANSYS, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, and SolidEdge.
- Knowledge of total quality, lean manufacturing, and design for manufacturability.
- Prior experience with LED lighting and RTCA DO-160 preferred.
