Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, and document new aircraft lighting products and systems.
- Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of projects using engineering principles and aviation standards.
- Document technical data according to engineering policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement methods to improve quality, reliability, and productivity.
- Solve complex problems using advanced techniques.
- Identify and resolve defects in products, including field and production issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for product excellence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of mechanical design experience.
- Experience in structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with electrical/electronics packaging design.
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD systems (ANSYS, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, SolidEdge).
- Knowledge of total quality, lean manufacturing, and design for manufacturability.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
