Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality teams to source raw materials, focusing on aluminum and steel.
- Lead sourcing strategy for aluminum and steel raw materials.
- Identify new sourcing avenues for raw materials and negotiate with suppliers.
- Evaluate suppliers for technical capability and compliance.
- Develop and manage RFQs and negotiate supplier quotations.
- Negotiate contracts for material purchases.
- Monitor market trends and develop contingency plans for raw material supply.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering in the automotive metal industry.
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
- Experience with production planning and supply management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Curiosity about manufacturing processes and strong organizational capabilities.
