Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality teams to source raw materials, focusing on aluminum and steel.
- Lead the directed buy sourcing strategy for Aluminum & Steel.
- Identify new avenues for raw material sourcing and lead qualification and pricing negotiations.
- Evaluate suppliers for technical capability and compliance with standards.
- Develop and manage RFQs; negotiate supplier quotations balancing cost, lead-time, and quality.
- Negotiate contracts for material purchases, including pricing and delivery terms.
- Monitor market trends and develop contingency plans for raw material supply.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute for a degree).
- 5-8 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering within the automotive metal industry.
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Experience with production planning and supply management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Curiosity about manufacturing processes and a team-first mindset.
