Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver front and/or rear suspension structural components.
- Design castings, sheet metal parts, bushings, and ball joints.
- Create and optimize mechanical designs for performance, size, weight, durability, and cost.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers for system integration.
- Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing.
- Manage multiple complex projects in a demanding environment.
- Determine required tolerances using GD&T.
Job Requirements
- Automotive chassis engineering experience.
- Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or similar software.
- Hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly.
- Experience in technology, system and supplier selection.
- Design release engineering experience.
- A sound understanding of various analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, OptiStruct).
- BS/BEng or MS/MEng in a relevant Engineering/Physics/Mathematics discipline, or equivalent experience.
