Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver front and/or rear suspension structural components.
- Design castings, sheet metal parts, bushings, ball joints, etc.
- Ensure excellence in design at both system and component levels.
- Optimize mechanical designs for performance, size, weight, durability, and cost.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers for system integration.
- Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities.
- Determine required tolerances using GD&T.
Job Requirements
- Automotive chassis engineering experience.
- Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or similar software.
- Hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly.
- Knowledge of various analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, OptiStruct, MatLab, ADAMS, SHARK).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, casting, and stamping.
- Generally requires 2+ years of related experience.
- BS/BEng or MS/MEng in a relevant Engineering/Physics/Mathematics discipline, or equivalent experience.
