Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers.
- Create RFQs and analyze supplier quotations for sourcing recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts regarding parts pricing and tooling costs.
- Release parts into production and manage POs for prototype tooling.
- Oversee supplier development and manage timelines for part availability.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and report on sourcing status.
- Travel 15-25% to conduct business and program reviews with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering related to casting and extrusions.
- Understanding of body design and experience in sourcing relevant commodities.
- Product launch experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
