Responsibilities
- Perform preliminary and detailed thermal design and analysis on spacecraft components and subsystems.
- Conduct comprehensive modeling of the spacecraft thermal system using tools like Thermal Desktop, SINDA, TSS.
- Provide technical memos and recommendations to support peer and customer reviews.
- Present design and analysis data to the engineering team and customer representatives.
- Review and implement program requirements.
- Support multi-week Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) testing at LM facilities.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering fields to develop cost-effective thermal control solutions.
Job Requirements
- Background in thermal engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in thermal modeling tools (e.g., Thermal Desktop, SINDA, TSS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with spacecraft components and subsystems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and quality objectives.
