Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain packaging solutions for the FBM Program.
- Design and develop product crates, skids, and hardware for effective transport.
- Author and release Packaging Data Sheets (PDS) with specialized packaging instructions.
- Collaborate with Suppliers, FBM Hardware Engineers, and External Customers on packaging designs.
- Support the LM FBM Logistics team and Customer facilities as required.
- Identify efficiencies and drive improvements in packaging processes.
- Stay updated on packaging industry best practices and technological advancements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in a related field.
- Knowledge/Experience with CREO or similar CAD tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to research packaging issues and identify solutions.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Willingness to travel for vendor or customer visits as needed.
