Responsibilities
- Perform detailed dynamics design and analysis on spacecraft components and the entire spacecraft system.
- Provide test support for component-level and system-level dynamic tests (e.g., random vibration, acoustics, shock, modal).
- Perform coupled loads analysis with launch vehicle partners to verify spacecraft launch survivability.
- Provide technical memos and recommendations to support peer and customer reviews.
- Present design and analysis data to the spacecraft design/engineering team and customer representatives.
- Review, interpret, flow-down, and implement program requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- A Master's Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) is strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in dynamics analysis of space structures.
- Experience with rigid and flexible body simulation tools (e.g., Adams).
- Experience with engineering level computer programming (e.g., Matlab, Simulink).
- Experience with coupled loads analysis methodology.
- Experience leading analysis efforts in support of design activities.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
