Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed dynamics design and analysis on spacecraft components and the entire spacecraft system.
  • Provide test support for component-level and system-level dynamic tests (e.g., random vibration, acoustics, shock, modal).
  • Perform coupled loads analysis with launch vehicle partners to verify spacecraft launch survivability.
  • Provide technical memos and recommendations to support peer and customer reviews.
  • Present design and analysis data to the spacecraft design/engineering team and customer representatives.
  • Review, interpret, flow-down, and implement program requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

Job Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) is strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in dynamics analysis of space structures.
  • Experience with rigid and flexible body simulation tools (e.g., Adams).
  • Experience with engineering level computer programming (e.g., Matlab, Simulink).
  • Experience with coupled loads analysis methodology.
  • Experience leading analysis efforts in support of design activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
