Responsibilities
- Interface and collaborate with various LM program customers to understand and refine design requirements
- Design and analyze solutions from concept through detailed design
- Coordinate with other mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineers to ensure a complete working solution
- Develop 2D and 3D CAD representations of design solutions
- Generate engineering drawings and oversee them through procurement, fabrication, assembly, and end use
- Coordinate with and source commercially available equipment from external vendors
- Assist technicians during system fabrication, assembly, checkout, and validation and lead troubleshooting efforts
Job Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex multidisciplinary problems
- Experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems and components
- Proficiency in CAD software for 2D and 3D design
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in project scheduling and procurement activities
- Familiarity with aerospace testing environments
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers and stakeholders
