Responsibilities
- Interface and collaborate with various LM program customers to understand and refine design requirements.
- Design and analyze solutions from concept through detailed design.
- Coordinate and work integrally with other mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineers across labs and on programs.
- Develop 2D and 3D CAD representations of design solutions.
- Generate engineering drawings and oversee them through procurement, in-house fabrication, assembly, and end use.
- Coordinate with and source commercially available equipment from external vendors.
- Assist technicians during system fabrication, assembly, checkout, and validation, and lead troubleshooting efforts.
Job Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex multidisciplinary problems.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis using engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Familiarity with aerospace components and propulsion test lab environments.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in project planning and coordination.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers and vendors.
