Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes and production layouts for missile assemblies.
- Translate drawings and model-based designs into actionable manufacturability steps using CAD tools.
- Conduct manufacturing readiness assessments and create specifications for tools and equipment.
- Ensure new designs meet producibility and cost targets in a manufacturing environment.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and mitigate production risks.
- Provide support on the production floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with Quality and Tool Design Engineering to ensure compliance and achieve tolerances.
Job Requirements
- Ability to mentor and teach individuals or small groups.
- Excellent team facilitation skills and effective use of Lean Six-Sigma tools.
- Experience representing Operations teams on technical issues.
- Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes including Assembly and Machining.
- Experience with NC programming using MasterCAM or similar software.
- Familiarity with tools like CREO, DFMPro, SAP, and Apriso.
