The Electrical Component Engineer (Level II) position at Lockheed Martin Space involves leading and assisting in Electrical Component Engineering for the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program, focusing on the development and execution of the Electrical Electronic Electromechanical Parts management plan.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture, and test.
  • Participate in the selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
  • Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports.
  • Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain.
  • Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and integrated circuits.
  • Travel and collaborate with suppliers and government agencies to ensure component selections meet quality and performance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 2+ years of related professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, and materials for EEE parts.
  • Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEE parts.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Basic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEE parts and worst-case analysis.
