Responsibilities
- Develop and execute mechanical designs for vehicle interior fittings and systems.
- Release design data and documentation for subsystem content at various phases.
- Act as the primary contact for vehicle interior component suppliers during the design and production phases.
- Plan and conduct component and subsystem level testing to validate designs.
- Provide input for system and vehicle level testing as needed.
Job Requirements
- BS in mechanical/aerospace engineering or similar; MS preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in product design and engineering.
- Experience in automotive or aerospace design/engineering.
- Familiarity with DFM for various manufacturing processes.
- Solid working knowledge of a 3D CAD system, ideally Catia V5 or 3DX Catia.
- Collaborative mindset and clear communication style.
- Experience with sustainable design practices preferred.
