Responsibilities
- Design new products using CAD systems for parts, subassemblies, and subsystems.
- Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models of engineering designs.
- Generate design engineering documentation including models, drawings, and testing results.
- Collaborate with testing engineers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and performance requirements.
- Work with project managers to adhere to timelines and budgets.
- Support model makers in constructing mock-ups and prototypes.
- Conduct and coordinate FMEA for new products under development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 or more years of related experience.
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design, preferably Inventor.
- Strong knowledge of technical drafting, GD&T, and tolerancing analysis.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes for metals and plastics.
- Understanding of mechanical properties of materials, mechanisms, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Ability to create and maintain BOMs and detailed spreadsheets.
