Responsibilities
- Assist in optomechanical design.
- Support the development of components using CAD tools like SolidWorks or Creo.
- Prototype and test assemblies for mechanical stability and optical performance.
- Collaborate with optical and mechanical engineers for system integration.
- Analyze mechanical tolerances and thermal effects on optical performance.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, test reports, and assembly instructions.
- Utilize optical simulation tools and perform data analysis on test results.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD tools like SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with optical design software such as Zemax or Code V is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required for certain roles.
- Hands-on experience with optical alignment and mechanical assembly is a plus.
