Responsibilities
- Develop power electronics for spacecraft with power systems of 20kW to 100kW capability.
- Serve as Responsible Engineer for flight hardware from conception through flight.
- Qualify designs through environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum).
- Collaborate with partners/customers to define interfaces between power systems and spacecraft loads.
- Develop models to analyze and verify power system performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 3+ years of professional design experience with power electronics (including academic projects).
- Proficiency with circuit simulation tools (e.g., LTspice).
- Experience with environmental testing for space electronics.
- Knowledge of high performance kW scale isolated power converter design.
- Familiarity with programming in C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
- Experience with load switch design and power path protection schemes.
