Electrical Test Engineer

The Electrical Test Engineer will own the success of avionics testing for satellite operations, developing production quality test hardware and software for flight avionics. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams and leading multidisciplinary test campaigns.

• Design and fabricate test hardware and systems for electrical and RF testing.
• Develop modular, reusable test automation software in languages such as Python, C++, and Rust.
• Execute development and production tests to meet customer needs.
• Lead satellite subsystem test campaigns from kickoff to test report.
• Develop data acquisition, control, and instrumentation systems for integrated testing.
• Manage multiple test assets and acceptance testing of flight avionics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish testing methods and schedules.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or relevant engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with test hardware design and software management.
• Strong programming abilities in Python, C++, and Rust.
• Experience with RF test equipment such as vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
• Familiarity with testing methods like SMC-S-016 or MIL-STD-810.
• Experience with software-defined radio hardware development.
• Understanding of failure modes of electrical systems in space environments.
