Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Quality Lead to align with company goals.
- Leads the Quality Engineering team to ensure compliance with Quality Systems and FAA regulations.
- Alerts the organization to potential issues and coordinates resolution efforts.
- Develops and leads a team of Quality Engineers to create effective processes and support strategic projects.
- Works closely with Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Metrology, and Quality Assurance teams.
- Leads and supports the Material Review Board.
- Ensures implementation of quality engineering systems throughout the product life cycle.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience; Master's with 6+ years; or PhD with 3+ years in engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in quality engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of direct people management experience.
- Understanding of FAA Regulations and relevant quality standards (AS9100, ISO9001).
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
