Responsibilities
- Design and create drawings for flight components in the Environmental Control System.
- Build physics-based models and perform data-driven analysis to inform design decisions.
- Design test equipment and experiments to validate component designs.
- Design equipment and tools to support manufacturing, integration, and quality control of flight components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to progress projects through the design, build, test, iterate loop.
- Take a proactive hands-on approach to problem identification, prototyping, and validation testing.
- Utilize 3D CAD and 2D drawing software for design tasks.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.
- Previous co-op, internship, or related work experience required.
- Must be heading into junior or senior year of undergraduate degree or above.
- Strong analytical and practical understanding of mechanical design, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Practical manufacturing or machine shop experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
