Responsibilities
- Design and create drawings for flight components in the Environmental Control System.
- Build physics-based models and perform data-driven analysis to inform design decisions.
- Design test equipment and experiments to validate component designs.
- Design equipment and tools to support manufacturing, integration, and quality control of flight components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to progress projects through the design, build, test, and iterate loop.
- Proactively identify problems and contribute to prototyping, iterative design, validation testing, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize 3D CAD and 2D drawing software for design purposes.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering with previous co-op or internship experience.
- Heading into junior or senior year of undergraduate studies or above.
- Available for the Summer 2026 internship.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient understanding of mechanical design principles, including fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
- Practical manufacturing or machine shop experience.
- Desired experience with cooling systems, ducting, and complex mechanical assemblies.
