Product Design Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

The Product Design Engineering Intern will work on the design and validation of electrical connectors used in military and aerospace environments, gaining hands-on experience while being mentored by experienced engineers.

• Interpret customer design input requirements and develop scope of work.
• Participate in early-stage concept development and create preliminary 3D CAD models.
• Present design concepts during Preliminary Design Review.
• Perform design changes based on team feedback.
• Finalize 3D CAD models and generate 2D CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with procurement to select vendors and procure prototypes.
• Create Design Validation Test Plan and assist in interpreting test results.

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering program.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles.
• Familiarity with materials such as metals, plastics, and rubber (helpful but not required).
• Experience in CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must maintain enrollment in degree program post-internship.
• U.S. person status required under ITAR regulations.
• Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures.
