Responsibilities
- Interpret customer design input requirements and develop project scope and schedule.
- Participate in concept development and create preliminary 3D CAD models.
- Present design concepts during Preliminary Design Review.
- Make design changes based on team feedback.
- Finalize 3D CAD models and generate 2D CAD drawings.
- Collaborate with procurement to select vendors and procure prototypes.
- Create Design Validation Test Plan and assist in testing.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles.
- Familiarity with materials like metals, plastics, and rubber is helpful.
- Experience in CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must continue enrollment in degree program after the internship.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
- Knowledge of CNC machining and injection molding preferred.
