Responsibilities
- Interpret customer design input requirements and develop project scope and schedule.
- Participate in early-stage concept development and create preliminary 3D CAD models.
- Present design concepts during Preliminary Design Review.
- Implement design changes based on team feedback.
- Finalize 3D CAD model and generate 2D CAD drawings.
- Collaborate with procurement to select vendors and procure prototypes.
- Create Design Validation Test Plan and assist in testing setups.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering program (BS/MS/PhD).
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles.
- Familiarity with materials like metals, plastics, and rubber is helpful.
- Experience in CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must maintain enrollment in degree program after the internship.
- Compliance with ITAR regulations; U.S. citizenship or residency required.
- Safety adherence and participation in safety training are expected.
