Responsibilities
- Participate in design stages of electrical connector development projects.
- Interpret customer design input requirements and develop project scope and schedule.
- Engage in concept development and create preliminary 3D CAD models.
- Present design concepts during Preliminary Design Review.
- Finalize 3D CAD models and generate 2D CAD drawings.
- Collaborate with procurement to select vendors and procure prototypes.
- Create Design Validation Test Plan and assist in testing setup.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles.
- Familiarity with materials such as metals, plastics, and rubber is helpful.
- Experience with CNC machining and injection molding preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must continue enrollment in degree program post-internship.
- U.S. person status as defined by ITAR regulations.
