Responsibilities
- Create new product architectures for next generation instruments based on specifications.
- Conceptualize and analyze complex electromechanical assemblies.
- Design and develop mechanical mechanism parts and assemblies.
- Understand various fabrication methods for custom designed parts.
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to define design requirements.
- Analyze and test product designs for functionality and reliability.
- Provide engineering support to facilitate the transfer of designs to production.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience.
- Experience in developing precision mechanical components and assemblies.
- Familiarity with precision injection-molded components.
- Excellent CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Knowledge of engineering analysis methods (FEA, tolerance analysis).
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
