The Electrical Technician I is responsible for wiring PC boards, controls, switches, and various electrical assemblies according to schematics and specifications, while working under the supervision of the Final Assembly Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Wire general utility circuits and components such as exit lights and switches.
- Layout, bend, and install EMT and rigid conduit per NEC code.
- Identify and select appropriate wire and cable for installations.
- Safely pull and run cable and wire, adhering to fill requirements.
- Terminate wire and cable in panels and various electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical or mechanical malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and schematics.
Job Requirements
- 0-2,000 hours of on-the-job electrician experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Must pass the IE Electrical Technician 1 Competency Test.
- Knowledge of electrical theory and ability to compute electrical calculations.
- Must obtain valid OSHA forklift and Overhead Crane certification.
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds and work in a safe manner.
- Must comply with company safety programs and maintain a safe work environment.
