Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of hardware development from concept to launch and orbital maneuvers.
- Formulate a comprehensive cradle-to-grave roadmap for hardware.
- Establish driving loads and develop efficient structural designs.
- Perform and document analysis to support design intent.
- Identify and source commercial components for design intent.
- Incorporate manufacturing trades into conceptual design.
- Communicate effectively to ensure support for hardware assumptions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software and ability to model complex shapes.
- Experience in conceptual design, fabrication, and testing of hardware.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
- Strong communication skills for technical challenges.
- Preferred: Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and experience with space-flown hardware.
