Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify, and optimize manufacturing processes for PCBAs.
- Write work instructions for PCBA manufacturing, including solder rework and conformal coating.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and DFM/DFA of PCBs and PCBAs.
- Provide support to PCBA technicians on the production floor.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Optimize production rate, yield, and cost of PCBA production.
- Write specifications and lead qualification of PCB and PCBA vendors.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience with PCBs and PCBAs.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and materials for PCBs and PCBAs.
- Experience with qualifying vendors for PCB fabrication and PCBA assembly.
- Experience with SMT board assembly and designing jigs for SMT processes.
- MS/PhD in relevant engineering field preferred.
- Experience with PCB and PCBA manufacturing for space applications preferred.
