Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of vehicle-mounted hardware systems, including enclosures and structural components.
- Own mechanical architecture for products operating in automotive environments.
- Design and develop sheet metal and fabricated structures optimized for performance and manufacturability.
- Drive product development from concept to production and installation.
- Perform and guide engineering analyses (FEA, vibration, thermal).
- Partner cross-functionally with various teams including electrical and manufacturing.
- Mentor engineers and establish best practices for mechanical design.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience designing complex hardware systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with automotive-grade mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
- Deep expertise in structures and sheet metal fabrication.
- Proven track record of taking products from prototype to production.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
