Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of first-generation manufacturing systems and automation tools.
- Collaborate with design, production, supply chain, controls, software, and robotics teams.
- Provide early feedback on manufacturability to design engineering teams.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to enhance production efficiency.
- Drive upgrades and developments for high-reliability production.
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment for optimization.
- Identify and deploy automation opportunities based on ROI evaluations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Proven collaboration skills with design engineers on product development.
- Strong expertise in DFM with a track record of influencing design decisions.
- Ability to lead complex projects in fast-paced environments.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills for problem solving.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Experience transitioning products from prototype to scalable manufacturing.
