Responsibilities
- Analyze customer drawings and current production states to design and guide automation of forging lines.
- Contribute to factories as a service efforts.
- Deliver cost, schedule, and solutions in partnership with customers and the Federal team.
- Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing.
- Review drawings for manufacturability.
- Advise the automation team on forging best practices.
- Assist in building new factories and contribute to manufacturing processes for new products.
Job Requirements
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in forging production and inspection.
- Ability to travel ~25% to DOD and prime facilities.
- Experience analyzing DFM and designing/ planning production and inspection lines for forging.
- Prior experience in establishing new forging lines in aerospace, automotive, or related domains.
- Capability to make risk-adjusted decisions quickly.
- Working knowledge of forging technology and CapEx.
- Software or automation experience is helpful but not required.
