Responsibilities
- Analyze customer drawings and current production state to design and guide automation of Forging DFM, Production, and Inspection Lines.
- Contribute as a key player in factories as a service efforts.
- Deliver cost/schedule/solutions in partnership with customers and the Federal team.
- Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing.
- Review drawings for manufacturability and select appropriate CapEx for part numbers and assemblies.
- Advise the automation team on forging best practices.
- Assist in building new factories and contribute to manufacturing processes of new products involving forging.
Job Requirements
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in forging production and inspection.
- Ability to travel ~25% to DOD and prime facilities.
- Experience in analyzing DFM and designing/planning production and inspection lines for forging.
- Prior experience standing up new forging lines in Aerospace, Automotive or other domains.
- Ability to make risk-adjusted decisions quickly.
- Working knowledge of forging technology and CapEx is helpful.
- U.S. citizenship or eligibility to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State due to ITAR requirements.
