Responsibilities
- Design control panels and machine harnesses for robotic machining cells.
- Specify and integrate VFDs, servo drives, safety-rated relays/controllers, E-stops, light curtains, and interlocks.
- Design and document AC distribution and DC logic.
- Run arc-flash analysis and NFPA 70E labeling for every cell.
- Commission panels and harnesses on the floor.
- Codify electrical standards into a reusable library.
- Act as the on-call electrical owner for troubleshooting when a cell goes down.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years designing and commissioning industrial control panels.
- Proficient in EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with VFD and servo drives from major manufacturers.
- Knowledge of safety standards like NFPA 79, UL 508A, and IEC 60204-1.
- Proven experience wiring and commissioning panels on-site.
- Comfortable debugging drives and power quality issues.
