Responsibilities
- Analyze hardware designs early in development to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring product reliability from the outset.
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish clear reliability goals, develop comprehensive plans, and secure necessary resources for effective execution.
- Drive the execution of reliability plans, including testing, data analysis, and risk assessment throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase.
- Track system reliability metrics, proactively identify and address unwanted behavior, and develop mitigation strategies to maintain optimal performance.
- Utilize field reliability data and investigative skills to conduct thorough failure analysis, identify root causes, and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in Cloud quality and reliability engineering, computing or network infrastructure hardware, or relevant experience.
- Experience in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and ongoing reliability testing.
- Preferred: Master's or PhD in relevant engineering fields.
- Familiarity with system level reliability tools and failure analysis techniques.
- Experience leading cross-functional problem-solving teams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct statistical analysis for reliability predictions.
