Responsibilities
- Design a subsystem and/or multiple individual parts from concept to production.
- Collaborate with suppliers of subsystems and/or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process.
- Identify the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and develop corrective actions.
- Balance design considerations such as functionality, sustainability, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, and aesthetics.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent products.
- Drive the design and prototyping of new concepts.
- Manage varied responsibilities within the product design team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
- Experience shipping consumer products (preferred).
- Experience with manufacturing methods used in consumer products (preferred).
- Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter (preferred).
