Responsibilities
- Design and own the entire product design life-cycle including requirements gathering, concept generation, detailed design with analysis, verification testing, cross-functional reviews, and manufacturing release.
- Execute designs for systems backed by thorough engineering analysis.
- Develop test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements and troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve potential technical issues.
- Influence products and inform the technology road-map by providing mechanical and product design engineering expertise through data-driven decisions.
- Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities and technology risks.
- Mentor team members and provide engineering knowledge.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical design, liquid cooling, and analysis in a hyperscale data center environment.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field preferred.
- Experience in mechanical engineering and design principles, specifically in medium-scale production, sheet metal, and injection molding.
- Knowledge of chip, socket, cooling solution stack-ups, structural behavior, and reliability.
- Experience in designing electro-mechanical assemblies with an understanding of mechanical tolerances and tolerance analysis.
