Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer role at GKN Aerospace involves providing engineering capability to operational and development programs, focusing on delivering robust manufacturing processes and ensuring zero defect projects. The position is specific to a work transfer scope within a new facility in Garden Grove, CA.

• Develop manufacturing process solutions to complex problems.
• Implement production planning from concept through to production, ensuring high process capability.
• Manage product development, configuration changes, and first article development.
• Create and maintain Program Quality Plans, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing process development and integration.
• Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in aerospace.
• Experience with NPI, start-up facilities, and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of quality system models like ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• US Person per US DOD & ITAR regulations.
• Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
