Responsibilities
- Lead engineering team members to design, develop, and implement solutions across multiple product lines
- Provide technical oversight and leadership to product development teams to meet project deliverables
- Coordinate project completion, set deadlines, and monitor progress for timely resolution of issues
- Manage R&D direct reports, offering direction, mentorship, and growth opportunities
- Engage hands-on with the engineering team to design, develop, and test novel concepts
- Support R&D personnel hiring and development
- Contribute to improving processes and procedures to drive innovation and quality
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering discipline required
- 8+ years of medical device development experience
- 3+ years managing direct reports
- Previous CAD experience required; Solid Works preferred
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Interpersonal skills for communication and relationship building
- General knowledge of compliance requirements for FDA regulatory medical devices
