Responsibilities
- Design printed circuit boards and schematics for Special Test Equipment.
- Create VPX adapter boards for routing backplane signals to test interfaces.
- Collaborate with RF, digital, and mechanical engineers to translate test requirements into PCB designs.
- Capture schematics and perform design rule checks.
- Generate Gerber outputs and create Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Utilize general test equipment for testing and validation purposes.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field.
- Proficiency in electrical schematic/board layout software (e.g., Mentor, Cadence, Eagle, KiCad).
- Strong understanding of PCB design fundamentals including stackup and impedance control.
- Basic knowledge of digital interfaces (e.g., SPI, JTAG, LVDS).
- Familiarity with DC power distribution and protection circuits.
- Proficiency with general test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
