Responsibilities
- Assist in optimizing GPU-accelerated workloads, focusing on throughput, latency, and memory efficiency.
- Profile and analyze machine learning training and inference workloads to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Design and evaluate performance-aware algorithms that scale on multi-node clusters.
- Develop and optimize high-performance GPU kernels to maximize hardware utilization.
- Understand hardware features and performance characteristics for large-scale AI workloads.
- Support benchmarking and performance testing efforts for AI systems at scale.
- Collaborate with teams across Computer Systems, Machine Learning Engineering, and Biology.
Job Requirements
- Must be pursuing a PhD/Master’s in Computer Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
- Programming proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with scientific computing kernels using CUDA or similar technologies.
- Understanding of GPU or other accelerator architectures.
- Familiarity with compilers for scientific computing workloads is preferred.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and parallel computing techniques is beneficial.
- Passion for understanding systems at a low level and familiarity with biological data is a plus.
