Responsibilities
- Investigate corrosion and erosion behavior of metals and alloys in liquid cooling environments.
- Design and execute laboratory corrosion and erosion testing using various systems.
- Conduct electrochemical testing and analyze microstructural effects of corrosion.
- Perform root cause failure analysis of liquid-cooled components and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop corrosion mitigation strategies and support design teams with materials guidance.
- Apply relevant standards and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Prepare detailed test plans and present findings to engineering leadership.
Job Requirements
- MS or PhD in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong background in corrosion science and metallic materials.
- Hands-on experience with liquid environments and flow-based testing.
- Proven experience in failure analysis and root cause investigation.
- Strong technical writing and cross-functional communication skills.
- Preferred experience with liquid cooling for electronics and knowledge of aluminum and copper alloys.
- Familiarity with dielectric coolants and AMPP/NACE certification is a plus.
