Responsibilities
- Prototype new mechanisms, test materials, and research 3D printing challenges.
- Analyze, test, validate, and iterate on electro-mechanical systems.
- Create detailed designs in CAD and accurate drawings.
- Collaborate with Global Sourcing and Manufacturing Teams to transition designs from prototype to mass production.
- Push the capabilities of 3D printing.
- Strive to maximize customer value.
- Engineer high-quality desktop 3D printers.
Job Requirements
- Proficient in 3D CAD (Solidworks/Onshape) for designing components and producing drawings.
- Familiar with various manufacturing techniques, including injection molding and sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience with the full product development cycle.
- Strong communication skills with vendors and suppliers.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to solve problems across disciplines.
- A portfolio demonstrating skills and experience is encouraged.
- Bonus skills include programming (Python) and experience with contract manufacturers and PLM/document control systems.
