Responsibilities
- Prototype new mechanisms, test materials, and research 3D printing challenges
- Analyze, test, validate, and iterate on electro-mechanical systems
- Create detailed designs in CAD and produce accurate drawings
- Collaborate with Global Sourcing and Manufacturing Teams to transition designs from prototype to mass production
- Push the capabilities of 3D printing technology
- Strive to maximize customer value
- Engineer high-quality desktop 3D printers
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solidworks/Onshape)
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques such as injection molding and sheet metal fabrication
- Experience with the full product development cycle
- Strong communication skills for vendor and supplier interactions
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving across disciplines
- Portfolio demonstrating skills and experience in mechanical engineering
- Bonus skills include programming (Python) and experience with contract manufacturers and PLM/document control systems
