Responsibilities
- Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design and PCB layout.
- Develop embedded firmware for controlling electromechanical systems.
- Own projects and focus on shipping products rather than specializing in one area.
- Design subsystems such as sensors, actuators, and optoelectronics.
- Back design decisions with data from simulations and experiments.
- Support designs throughout the product life cycle, from research to debugging.
- Grow into technical experts or team leaders within the organization.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and debugging electronics for products.
- Generalist in electrical engineering with skills in analog and digital design, PCB layout, and validation.
- Comfortable with electronics that interact with the physical world.
- Hands-on approach to supporting designs throughout the product life cycle.
- Familiarity with embedded software development (C/C++ and Linux systems) is a bonus.
- Ability to integrate electronics with mechanical designs and software.
- Willingness to share examples of previous work demonstrating skills and experience.
