Responsibilities
- Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design and PCB layout.
- Develop embedded firmware for controlling complex electromechanical systems.
- Own projects with a focus on shipping products rather than specializing in one area.
- Design subsystems such as sensors and actuators while considering electrical and mechanical trade-offs.
- Validate design decisions with data from simulations and experiments.
- Potentially grow into roles involving larger system architecture design and technical leadership.
- Support designs throughout the product lifecycle from research to debugging.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and debugging electronics.
- Generalist in electrical engineering with skills in analog and digital design, PCB layout, and debugging techniques.
- Basic familiarity with embedded systems (C/C++ microcontroller firmware or embedded Linux).
- Hands-on approach to supporting designs throughout the product life cycle.
- Bonus: Experience with systems requiring mechanical engineering skills alongside electronics.
