Responsibilities
- Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design and PCB layout.
- Own projects with a focus on shipping products rather than specializing in one area of electronics engineering.
- Design subsystems such as sensors, actuators, and optoelectronics with consideration for electrical and mechanical requirements.
- Back design decisions with data from simulations and experiments.
- Grow into larger system architecture design and technical leadership roles.
- Support designs throughout the product life cycle, from research to debugging field failures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful product development.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and debugging electronics.
- Generalist in electrical engineering, comfortable with analog and digital design, PCB layout, and validation techniques.
- Basic familiarity with embedded systems or software engineering disciplines.
- Hands-on approach to support designs throughout the product life cycle.
- Bonus: Experience in designing systems requiring physics or mechanical engineering skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating skills and experience is highly encouraged.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
