Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary authority on Design for Reliability (DfR) for mechanical subsystems.
  • Define the roadmap for validating component lifetimes based on product goals.
  • Design and lead experiments to uncover failure mechanisms and establish testing methods.
  • Focus on liquid and gas handling subsystems and electro-mechanical components.
  • Champion safety in all engineering practices.
  • Mentor peers and guide cross-functional design failure analyses (DFMEAs).
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and across the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of industry experience.
  • Expertise in developing tests for mechanical systems' performance and reliability.
  • Experience with liquid and gas handling systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accelerated lifetime tests for component reliability.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
