Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of mechanical architects, thermal engineers, and structural engineers.
- Lead the mechanical architecture and structural/fluid/thermal analysis of the iron-air battery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize system designs for performance, cost, and reliability.
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality, reliability, and cost requirements for high-volume manufacturing.
- Act as a player-coach to mentor and develop the engineering team.
- Support design and build activities on pilot and production manufacturing lines.
- Conduct model validation and correlation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 12+ years of industry experience in mechanical systems, assemblies, and components.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Expertise in thermal analysis (CFD/FEA) and structural analysis.
- Strong mechanical design experience in hardware product development.
- Hands-on experience in model validation/correlation.
- Knowledge of energy storage or high power products is a plus.
