Senior Manager, Mechanical Simulation & Analysis

The Senior Manager, Mechanical Simulation & Analysis will lead the Mechanical Engineering team at Form Energy, focusing on the design and analysis of battery systems for energy storage technology. This role involves managing a team and collaborating with cross-functional partners to optimize designs for performance and reliability.

• Manage and grow a team of mechanical architects, thermal engineers, and structural engineers.
• Lead mechanical architecture and structural/fluid/thermal analysis of the iron-air battery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and optimize system designs.
• Ensure designs meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements throughout the development cycle.
• Mentor and support the engineering team in a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct model validation and correlation.
• Define products and engineering requirements, implementing FMEA principles.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of industry experience in mechanical systems and hardware product development.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Expert knowledge in thermal and structural analysis.
• Strong mechanical design experience with multiple shipping products.
• Hands-on experience in model validation/correlation.
• Experience in batteries or energy storage is a plus.
