Responsibilities
- Own the Systems-level component category and manage partnerships with strategic suppliers.
- Act as the primary contact for contract and pricing negotiations with suppliers.
- Drive commercial cost negotiations based on market analyses.
- Monitor market conditions and technology roadmaps to address supply challenges.
- Collaborate with Leadership, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Strategic Supply teams to execute sourcing strategies.
- Engage in research to identify and evaluate suppliers for battery system components.
- Present recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
- Expertise in procurement for components used in battery systems or similar products.
- Strong data evaluation and analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting to leadership.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30% of the time.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a similar discipline.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
