Responsibilities
- Own the Systems-level component category and maintain partnerships with strategic suppliers.
- Act as the primary contact with suppliers for contract and pricing negotiations.
- Drive commercial cost negotiations based on cost models and current market conditions.
- Monitor market conditions and technology roadmaps to address supply challenges.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to execute sourcing strategies.
- Research markets and identify suppliers for battery system components.
- Manage procurement for off-the-shelf and customized components for battery systems.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
- Expertise in managing procurement for battery systems or similar products.
- Strong data evaluation and analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting recommendations.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 30% of the time).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or similar discipline.
