Student Worker - Electronics Design Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Assist in schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection for automotive ECUs.
  • Support hardware prototyping, soldering, and rework of ECU boards.
  • Perform functional and diagnostic testing of ECUs using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
  • Help develop and execute test plans for validation and verification of ECU performance.
  • Interface with simulation tools and test benches to evaluate ECU behavior under various conditions.
  • Document test results, design changes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with engineers to debug hardware and firmware issues.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant technical or engineering program.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and circuit theory.
  • Familiarity with lab tools: multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or microcontroller programming is a plus.
