Responsibilities
- Own the mechanical design and development of a high volume, high voltage electro-mechanical system for Ford’s new EV platform.
- Collaborate with the hardware design team to develop a build to print on-vehicle electronic control unit.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality standards and encompass DFX principles.
- Develop engineering prototypes and coordinate testing for functionality and performance.
- Engage with suppliers to evaluate processes and materials based on manufacturability and quality.
- Participate in the development of assembly and test fixtures for all product phases.
- Develop mechanical functions specifications and support test planning and execution.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in designing and developing electro-mechanical components.
- Experience with PCBA integration and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with Catia, Enovia, or similar tools.
- Experience in GD&T and tolerance stack analyses.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing electromechanical systems.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to vehicle systems.
