Responsibilities
- Develop new innovative design concepts for launch vehicle and spacecraft programs.
- Use engineering principles to provide novel solutions for technically challenging problems.
- Design fluid systems for sampling exhaust gases from engines.
- Create models for analyzing pressure drops in propellant and press systems.
- Design and fabricate engine tooling for turbomachinery and other applications.
- Oversee the design of development heatsink chambers for thrusters.
- Participate in design reviews and trade studies for critical engine components.
Job Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals in thermal, structural, and fluids analysis.
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on fabrication experience with common power tools.
- Ability to work under tight schedules and deliver creative solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Must comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
- Demonstrated drive and flexibility in problem-solving.
