Responsibilities
- Develop new innovative design concepts for launch vehicle and spacecraft programs.
- Use engineering principles to provide novel solutions for technically challenging problems.
- Design fluid systems to sample exhaust gases from a tapoff engine.
- Create fluid systems models for pressure drop analysis in propellant and press systems.
- Design and fabricate engine tooling for turbomachinery and HEX tooling.
- Responsible for the design of a development heatsink chamber for a hypergolic RCS thruster.
- Own the design of a critical engine main valve targeting improved sealing capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals in thermal, structural, and fluids analysis.
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated drive to deliver on tight schedules with creative solutions.
- Hands-on fabrication experience using common power tools.
- Ability to work occasional night shifts.
- Effective collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- U.S. citizenship or eligibility for required authorizations due to export regulations.
