Responsibilities

  • Develop new innovative design concepts for launch vehicle and spacecraft programs.
  • Use engineering principles to provide novel solutions for technically challenging problems.
  • Design fluid systems for sampling exhaust gases from engines.
  • Create models for analyzing pressure drops in propellant and press systems.
  • Design and fabricate engine tooling for turbomachinery and other applications.
  • Oversee the design of development heatsink chambers for thrusters.
  • Participate in design reviews and trade studies for critical engine components.

Job Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals in thermal, structural, and fluids analysis.
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on fabrication experience with common power tools.
  • Ability to work under tight schedules and deliver creative solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Must comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
  • Demonstrated drive and flexibility in problem-solving.
