Responsibilities

  • Develop new innovative design concepts for launch vehicle and spacecraft programs.
  • Use engineering principles to provide novel solutions for technically challenging problems.
  • Design fluid systems to sample exhaust gases from a tapoff engine.
  • Create fluid systems models for pressure drop analysis in propellant and press systems.
  • Design and fabricate engine tooling for turbomachinery and HEX tooling.
  • Responsible for the design of a development heatsink chamber for a hypergolic RCS thruster.
  • Own the design of a critical engine main valve targeting improved sealing capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals in thermal, structural, and fluids analysis.
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated drive to deliver on tight schedules with creative solutions.
  • Hands-on fabrication experience using common power tools.
  • Ability to work occasional night shifts.
  • Effective collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligibility for required authorizations due to export regulations.
