Responsibilities
- Define vehicle-level architecture and capabilities in alignment with Firefly objectives.
- Conduct and lead system-level trades to drive vehicle design innovation.
- Analyze and optimize mass, delta V, power, and data budgets for operational success.
- Chair design and milestone reviews, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Develop innovative solutions that enhance vehicle capabilities.
- Identify standardization opportunities across programs and product lines.
- Provide real-time support for integrated operations and resolve anomalies during missions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace engineering (design, analysis, test, or operations).
- Strong understanding of orbital mechanics and engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- Desired: Master's or PhD in engineering or related discipline.
- Desired: 8+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, including primary technical authority over spacecraft lifecycle.
