Responsibilities
- Define vehicle-level architecture and capabilities in alignment with objectives.
- Conduct system-level trades to drive innovation in vehicle design.
- Analyze and optimize budgets for mass, delta V, power, and data.
- Chair design and milestone reviews to ensure standards are met.
- Develop innovative solutions for vehicle design and operations.
- Manage program risks and track potential technical issues.
- Provide technical mentorship and facilitate training for the Chief Engineering team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft systems.
- Strong understanding of orbital mechanics.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Master's or PhD degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace engineering desired.
- Experience with real-time troubleshooting in high-stakes environments.
