Responsibilities
- Serve as technical authority and approver for mechanical hardware decisions.
- Lead and arbitrate cross-disciplinary technical trades impacting vehicle performance.
- Own mechanical and structural requirements, verification methods, and acceptance criteria.
- Guide and approve analysis methodologies and reports, including FEA and hand calculations.
- Drive hardware development and qualification test definition.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Program teams to resolve integration and production issues.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mechanical engineering teams.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical and/or structural design for aerospace systems.
- Demonstrated experience owning technical decisions and design reviews.
- Deep understanding of FEM/FEA, structural mechanics, and load paths.
- Working knowledge of composite manufacturing methods and material selection.
- Strong documentation rigor and configuration control discipline.
- Expertise in advanced structures and strong design skills using CAD software.
