Responsibilities
- Serve as technical authority for mechanical hardware decisions and design changes.
- Lead cross-disciplinary technical trades impacting vehicle performance and reliability.
- Own mechanical and structural requirements and compliance evidence.
- Guide analysis methodologies and oversee test operations for mechanical systems.
- Partner with teams to resolve production issues and ensure integration-ready hardware.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality and standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to mechanical engineering teams.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical/structural design for aerospace systems.
- Demonstrated experience in owning technical decisions and design reviews.
- Deep understanding of FEM/FEA, structural mechanics, and load paths.
- Working knowledge of composite manufacturing methods and material selection.
- Strong documentation rigor and configuration control discipline.
- Advanced degrees (M.S. or PhD) and experience as a Chief Engineer are desired.
